Chateamos.net presents a free conversation portal without mandatory registration, organized by country, friendship, ages and contacts. It describes nickname-based entry and lists rooms for Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela, Spanish cities and age-based conversations.
Separately, netsplit.de maintains a profile of an IRC network named Chateamos. The shared name does not establish common ownership or a founding date. This guide identifies the consulted pages and separates portal facts from measured network data.
The verifiable chronology and its limits
The Chateamos profile states that netsplit.de monitoring began in July 2026. This dates statistical registration, not community creation. A network can predate its addition to a monitoring service, and an absence of earlier data does not establish nonexistence.
Chateamos.net uses a 2025 copyright notice. We do not treat it as a founding date: a website footer does not independently document infrastructure origins or leadership. The reviewed sources support current presence and recorded monitoring, not a founder biography.
What the observed server reports
In the sample dated October 14, 2026, the profile identifies jupiter.chateamos.org and Chateamos Team as its administration. Technical information includes NICKLEN=30, CHANNELLEN=64 and MAXCHANNELS=15. These are values from the server observed in that sample and may change with configuration, account or subsequent policy.
That limit matters for an owner: adding a bot to more rooms requires respecting capacity and individual room permissions. A channel-joining feature is not unlimited access. We also do not infer a TLS port from the server name; confirm it with administration before configuration.
Chateamos.es and TerraChat: why their histories must stay distinct
The website checked at chateamos.es presents itself as TerraChat. Its FAQ describes rooms registered on ChatHispano/Terra/Orange/Latinchat and explains submitting a room to its directory. This documents an entry portal; it does not establish that it is the official website of the Chateamos network observed in 2026.
The distinction is practical: a portal may display rooms on a network operated by another organization. Before ordering ZNC or a bot, confirm the IRC server your room uses. The browser domain is not always the domain a program should connect to.
Choose a room and interpret its statistics
Chateamos.net offers entry paths by country, friendship and age; select the conversation suited to your community and consult its conditions. A public room, nick registration and bot permission are separate matters.
Netsplit.de statistics report connections and channels on the measured network with sampling dates. They do not identify unique people or establish how many users belong to a particular domain’s portal. For comparisons, use the updated profile and observation interval; for service setup, use connection settings and permissions confirmed by administration.
